Our Team

The RHBC Group will bring to your organization the resources necessary to successfully complete any project related to business strategy, human resources and organizational performance.  All of our consultants have had extensive experience in at least one of these areas, either from working in a leadership capacity for a major public or private employer or as an independent consultant.

The consultants listed below are primary contractors of the Group. Other consultants work with the Group on various projects from time-to-time as “sub-contractors”. The RHBC Group utilizes only consultants with qualifications and experience relative to the work being performed by the Group and who are committed to the mission, vision and philosophy of the Firm.

Ben started RHBC Group, (formally GLM Management Consulting Group) after serving several years as a volunteer business consultant to nonprofit organizations. He has more than twenty years of business management and human resources experience including: strategic planning, workforce planning, recruitment and retention, compensation and incentive plan design, continuous quality improvement, training and development, and employee relations. He has held various senior level management positions in the past including: Vice President of Human Resources for an integrated hospital system, Regional Director of Human Resources for national integrated managed care health system, Director of Human Resources for the outpatient clinics of a regional hospital corporation, Director of Compensation and Benefits for an educational institution, Director of Human Resources for a community action agency, and Assistant to the Town Manager for a local municipality.

Ben also has over eight years experience as Board Chairman for a nonprofit organization. Thus, whether you are a for-profit or nonprofit, Ben brings a wealth of human resources and business management knowledge to your organization.

Ben holds a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has completed the Kaiser Permanente Executive Management Program through Stanford University at Stanford, California.  Ben is a Certified Behavior Consultant (CBC) and has completed the total quality management and process improvement training programs through Juan Institute and Quorum Health Inc.

Ben also serves as an adjunct professor in the School of Business at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina.


Hostina (Tina) Bennett, BS, LPN, Senior HR Consultant

Tina has been a member of RHBC Group Network since 2006 where she has served as a Senior Human Resources and Business Consultant specializing in human resource programs design and implementation.

Tina has over 20 years of experience as a HR generalist working primarily in the Healthcare industry. She is recognized by her clients for her innovative leadership qualities and abilities to elicit cooperation at all levels to achieve successful results. Tina has held various management level positions in the past to include Director of Human Resources for CNC Access, Director of Human Resources for Health Force – Prime Health, Inc., Director of Personnel and Staffing for Alpha Omega Health, Inc., and Regional Manager of Central Staffing for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of North Carolina.

Tina is an LPN and holds a BS in Organizational Management from Saint Augustine College in Raleigh, North Carolina.


Angela R, Burroughs, MSPH, Sr. HR and Business Consultant

Angela is the Founder and Principal Consultant for Maximized Efficiencies, LLC, and has a wealth of experience with government, nonprofit, and private sector organizations. Angela became a member of RHBC Group in 2008.

She has over 15 years of corporate training, consulting and project management experience. Angela has provided training in 7 countries on 5 different continents, including more than 15 US states. She has served as Adjunct Faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill and currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at North Carolina Central University.

Her areas of expertise include technical / computer application and soft skills training, project management, technical assistance, business process improvement, and grassroots / community based organization. She has achieved certifications in InFormTM and RaveTM (the two major Electronic Data Capture applications), eTrack (a Siebel application), and Sametime Meeting and Webex (virtual meeting applications).

Angela has held various management and training positions in the past to include Clinic Director of a local community health center, Project Manager for the State of North Carolina, Wake County Human Services and RTI International, and Corporate Trainer for PharmaLinkFHI.

Angela received her Masters of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.


Jeannie Cranford, Sr. HRD Consultant

Jeannie has been a member of RHBC Group network since 2008. She serves as a Senior Human Resource Development Consultant.

Jeannie has over fifteen years of experience in progressive organizations with a primary focus on staff development, training and adult learning. She has held various management level positions in the past where she was afforded the opportunity to deliver soft skills and job specific training to employees at frontline, professional and management levels of organizations. Her diverse experience has led to her working in various for-profit and non-profit settings. She has held several management and professional positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina in which she played an instrumental role in producing effective and significant deliverables for the organization and its clients. Past positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield include: Learning Program Manager, Operations Training Manager, Senior Organizational Development Consultant, and Team Leader for Operations Training.

Jeannie has completed required coursework for a BS degree in Psychology.  She holds the following certifications:  Academy of Healthcare Management (PAHM designation), Blue Cross Blue Shield NC Leadership Development Program Certificate, Peter Block Flawless Consultant Certificate, ASTD Human Performance Improvement Training, and Development Dimensions International Learning Systems Facilitation Certification.


Elaine A. Crider, DHSC, Senior OD and Business Consultant

Dr. Elaine Crider is Founder and President of The Crider Group, a minority and woman owned consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, management and leadership enhancement programs and organizational development services. She joined RHBC Group Network in January 2009 where she serves as a Senior Organizational Development and Business Consultant.

Dr. Crider is a seasoned, goal-oriented, and highly motivated executive with over 20 years of experience serving in distinguished roles with corporate and government entities.    She has extensive experience in healthcare and healthcare-related corporations. Her core competencies include strategic planning, policy development and interpretation, program planning and evaluation, leadership development, process development and improvement and project management. Last paragraph: She received her Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; her Masters of Science in Health Administration from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan; and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Maryland at Baltimore.

Dr. Crider has also served as associate professor in the Department of Public Administration at Southeastern University in Washington, DC. She received her Doctor of Health Science at Nova Southern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Her Masters of Science in Health Administration at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan; Bachelor of Science in Nursing, University of Maryland.


Stanley M. Epstein, Senior OD and Business Consultant

Stanley M. Epstein, founder and Principal of S. M. Epstein & Associates, has devoted his career to helping individuals, teams and organizations become more productive by creating the conditions that enable people to do their very best work. As an executive and consultant in Leadership and Organization Development, he has worked with clients, domestic and international, representing all functions in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, engineering/construction, consumer goods and advertising, and in city government.

His corporate roles include World-wide Director of OD for R&D for GlaxoSmithKline, Manager of Management Training and Organization Development for a division of Hoechst Celanese, and Corporate Manager of Employee Development for NABISCO, INC. Stan holds a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University and an M. Ed from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He has also completed the Executive Management Program in Organizational Development (OD) and Human Resources Management from Columbia University. Stan has also served as President and board member the Triangle North Carolina Organization Development Network.

Stan holds a BA in Psychology from Rutgers and an M Ed from North Carolina State University, as well as professional development at Columbia, Northwestern and NTL Institute. He is a Past President of the Triangle (NC) Organization Development Network, where he served on the Board for several years.


Kerstin Ohlander, M.B.A., Senior OD and Business Consultant

Kerstin has been a member of RHBC Group network since 2007 where she has served as a Senior Organizational Development and Business Consultant specializing in organizational effectiveness.

Kerstin Ohlander has over 10 years of experience working with universities, businesses and nonprofits on collaborative change efforts. She is recognized by her clients for her innovative leadership qualities and abilities to elicit cooperation at all levels to achieve successful results. Kerstin’s areas of expertise includes; project management, organizational strategic planning; program planning and evaluation; organizational assessment; and, workforce training and development. Change wording to Kerstin holds a Masters of Science degree in Organization Development from Pepperdine University in Culver City, CA and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University in Stanford, CA.

Kerstin received her Master of Science degree from Pepperdine University, and her Bachelor of Science from Stanford University. She received training as an Executive Success Programs Coach, Virginia Satir Systems Training, Media Training, Facilitation Training, and a Human Patterns Personality Profile assessment.

Reniè has been a member of the RHBC Group network since 2002 where she has served as a Senior Organizational Development and Business Consultant specializing in organizational effectiveness.

Reniè has over twenty years experience in progressive organizations with a primary focus on organizational behavior and adult learning. She has held various senior level management positions in the past where she was afforded the opportunity to design and implement organizational development (OD) initiatives and employee development programs throughout all levels of the organization. Past positions include: Vice President of Service Excellence, Manager of Training and Organization Development, Director of Human Resources Development, and Training Administrator.

Leslie A. Samet, SPHR, Senior HR and Business Consultant

Leslie has been a member of RHBC Group since 2006 where she has served as a Senior Human Resources and Business Consultant specializing in human resource programs design and implementation.

Leslie brings value to customers through her business knowledge, analytical and organizational strengths, and dedication to customer service. Her vision is to guide organizations in effective and economical HR compliance and practices.

She has over 20 years of experience as a HR generalist in the areas of employment, employee relations, and job analysis and classification. She has worked with organizations of various sizes, from a five-person dotcom to a 90,000-employee international organization. Leslie has worked in the public and private sectors of various industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, banking, telecommunications, information technology, and manufacturing. Her experience includes 10 years of recruiting expertise at all positions levels for companies such as Nortel, Glaxo (now GlaxoSmithKline) and TRW (now Northrup Grumann).

Leslie holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Florida at Gainesville and Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) certification. She is a member of the national Society for Human Resources Management as well as both local chapters: Raleigh-Wake Human Resource Management Association and Triangle Society for Human Resource Management. Leslie holds a role on the Board of Directors for RWHRMA and Peace at Work; a North Carolina nonprofit dedicated to preventing violence in the workplace, and is a member of the Wake County Business Advisory Council.


Sandra (San) Timmons, MPA, Senior HR and Business Consultant

San has been a member of RHBC Group since 2003 where she has served as a Senior Human Resources and Business Consultant specializing in human resource programs design and implementation.

San has over 20 years of senior level human resources experience with an additional seven years experience in a professional legislative staff capacity with the State of North Carolina. She has held various senior level positions in the past to include Human Resources and Central Services Director for the North Carolina League of Municipalities, Senior Legislative Analyst for the North Carolina General Assembly, Human Resources Manager for UNC Chapel Hill, and Classification and Compensation Analyst for the State of South Carolina.

San holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


James (Jim) R. Ullman, Senior HRD and OD Consultant

In addition to being an independent consultant with the RHBC Group, Jim has over 15 years of training, group facilitation and organizational development experience in the higher education, business, government and nonprofit sectors. He has held various education and staff development leadership positions with higher education institutions. In addition to being an independent consultant with RHBC Group, Jim is founding President and CEO of Appleseed Consulting. His firm specializes in providing workforce training initiatives, organizational development (OD), and group facilitation services to both not-for-profit and for profit organizations.

Jim holds a Masters of Arts in Education from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and a Bachelors of Arts in History from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He also holds certification and/or training certificates in the following:
